Description for TV wall mount anchor kit - 4pc set
This super strong fast toggle bolt allows you to mount tilting or low profile tv mounts to drywall or steel studs. The SNAPTOGGLE fastener is preferred by installers for its superior strength and quick easy installation. The SNAPTOGGLE anchor has been tested by Cornell University and has been found to exceed national building codes. This kit of 4 snap togglers includes 2.5 inch long grade 5 bolts.
AV-Express Recommendations:
1) 4 Togglers are recommended for low profile or tilting tv mounts with TV weights from 0 to 75 pounds.
2) 8 Togglers are recommended for low profile or tilting tv mounts with TV weights from 75 to 100 pounds.
3) Do not mount TV's heavier than 125 pounds in drywall or on steel studs.
4) The togglers are recommended only for Flat TV mounts or tilting TV mounts.
CAUTION: We do not recommend mounting articulating or swivel type TV mounts with the snap toggle!

Instructions or Manual for TV wall mount anchor kit - 4pc set
Tools: Drill, screwdriver / screw gun, hammer, measuring tape / ruler, level, pencil, screw (may be included or not)
plus: a stud finder (for hollow walls), or an air bulb and a screw gun bit for a 1/4" lag screw (for solid walls).
To install flat screen TV's and TV mounts using the SNAPTOGGLE Toggle Bolt:
1. Follow the instructions included with your flat screen TV or TV mount for marking the location of each anchor in the wall. Try to locate at least one, if not two, of the anchors into a metal stud.
NOTE: If you locate wooden studs and are able to anchor at least one end of the TV mount to a wooden stud, follow the directions of the TV or mount manufacturer for installing on a wooden stud.
2. At each location, drill 1/2" diameter hole. Hold metal channel flat alongside plastic straps with top of channel facing up and slide channel through hole.
NOTE: Minimum clearance behind wall: 1-7/8".
3. Hold ends of straps between thumb and forefinger and pull toward you until channel rests flush behind wall. Slide plastic cap along straps with other hand until flange of cap is flush with wall.
4. Snap straps at wall by pushing side to side, snapping off straps level with flange of cap. Repeat at each location.
5. Place TV mount over flange. Insert screw through bracket and tighten until flush against bracket, then stop. Repeat for each hole in TV mount bracket.
6. Following the manufacturer's instructions, install TV mount in bracket.
To install flat screen TV's and TV mounts using the ALLIGATOR A8 5/16" diameter All-Purpose Anchor:
1. Follow the instructions included with your flat screen TV or TV mount for marking the location of each anchor in the wall.
2. At each location, drill a 5/16" diameter hole—minimum hole depth: 2". Blow the dust out of the hole.
3. Insert AF8 ALLIGATOR anchor into hole and tap flush to wall with hammer. Repeat for all holes.
4. Place TV mount over anchor. Insert 1/4" x 1-3/4" lag screw and tighten using a screw gun with an appropriate lag screw bit until screw head is flush with surface of mount, then stop. Repeat for each hole in TV mount bracket.
5. Following the manufacturer's instructions, install TV mount in bracket.
INSTALLATION TIP:
To avoid having to clean up the drywall powder from the floor after drilling the hole, place an index card underneath your drill bit to catch the dust as you are drilling.
